Dr. Grubs attended Norwich University where he graduated in 1955. He received his medical degree at the University of Rochester Medical School in Rochester, NY. He completed his Medical Residency at the Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY. He then completed his Fellowship in Cardiology at the Albany Medical Center.
Dr. Grubs is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a Member of the American College of Physicians. He is on staff at St. Peter's Hospital, the Albany Medical Center, and Albany Memorial Hospital in Albany, NY.

Dr. Grubs is married to Shirley Grubs and has three grown children. He resides in Guilderland, NY. When he is not practicing cardiology, Dr. Grubs enjoys golf and skiing.
